ireland lanyards
Have
you been put in charge of designing and issuing lanyards for an upcoming
business conference? Have no fear help is at hand. Read this article and you
will sail through like a pro.
First off,
identify the different types of invites that you will use. For example, there
will be those who will talk or are invited to give a lecture, there might be a
chief guest or some VVIP person(s), there will be the general delegates, there
will be organising staff, there will be caterers and finally the security staff
themselves. Are there more categories? Simply list them all out.
Once you have all
the categories on paper, put down the numbers against each category. You now
know how many categories there are and how many people will be in the
conference room. These different categories of persons will each require
slightly different lanyards. How do you achieve that?
The design team:
Designate one of your staff to design the lanyard. You should look to keep it
simple and include only the main information such as the event name, the date,
and maybe a sponsor logo or any other headline text.
The design
process: The VVIP(s) get a certain coloured lanyard
(say) white. Add “VVIP” prominently to whatever text will be printed on the
lanyard. This will please the VVIP and make them stand out in the gathering.
Follow the above
standard for each group. Speakers and lecturers should get certain coloured Conference lanyards and badges
(say) light green. Add “SPEAKER” prominently to whatever text will be printed
on the lanyard. This will please them and also make it easy to identify them in
the gathering.
Follow the above
procedure for each of the categories you have listed. Give more prominence to
the above and less to such things as conference themes etc. Of course, your
company logo is important so post-conference, people (and there will be many of
them), who keep the lanyards will remember the organiser and how the event went.
But if your boss
insists that the text must contain the full company name and logo don’t fret
because you can still achieve your goal of identifying groups via the
conference badge.
Now looking at
the list, you also know the numbers of lanyards that will be required. All that
is now left is for you to select the material for the conference badges and
lanyards. Confused? Don’t be.
Visit www.irelandlanyards.com
and find out the different types of materials available as well as the pros and
cons of each. If you don’t have the time for such a study, go for Nylon
lanyards. They are shiny and printing on them is easy. They are a premium
product and very popular. Alternatively Sublimated lanyards are also a
great material to print detailed designs on.
Now that you know
how many lanyards to order, go ahead and place the order for that exact
quantity plus (say) 20 extra in each category (other than VVIP, and speakers –
you can have 5 extra conference badges and lanyards there). Better to have a
few extra conference lanyards than to run short on the day of the event. There
are always some items that get lost and having a few extra of each category
will be useful.
Our best wishes
for your conference and we are confident it will be a spectacular success if
you follow the above tips.
