Star Medispa

Star Medispa caused severe second degree burns on an area 15cm in diameter and refuses to refund my package. Instead I was asked to continue treatments despite voicing my concerns I did not feel this treatment was safe. I also had prior bad experiences with the owner, Vitor due to a seperate burn

Had a traumatic experience at Star Medispa Pyrmont with a faulty CoolSculpting machine that ended up burning my arm. This was after I told the therapist twice that it is feeling warm rather than cold. She didn't even bother to check the machine even after I complained a second time. I was left in the therapy room alone and kept feeling the machine getting hotter and hotter until I started to feel my arm burning. I had to call out for somebody to come and help. The therapist came in and casually removed the faulty machine from my arm. There was no apology and she didn't bother to check my arm either. After checking the machine and confirming that it is faulty, she offered to put a different machine on my one arm. I refused as I was not happy having CoolSculpting on one arm and Clatuu on the other. I insisted that she remove the CoolSculpting from my other arm. She told me that she would go and call the manager (I never saw him). She tried to save the situation by putting Clatuu on both arms and althought I was happy with that it did not make up for the horrible experience. I called to speak to the manager once I got home. He informed me that he is the owner. He was exceptionally rude and was not at all interested in listening to what happened to me — just wanted to offer me free treatments which I obviously declined. Be very, very careful of this place. Luckily my arm has no serious damage.
