Concrete Water Tank Repairs
There are many ways you can make a concrete water tank repairs,
all depending on your usage, location and budget. It can be poured
in-situ or pre-cast and delivered and include load bearing structures.
A concrete water will generally get small
cracks over time. This is usually due to small amounts of ground
movement as the tank settles. Small leaks can be seen by the common
water weeping marks, and minor cracks are generally self healing. Larger
cracks will require intervention before significantly amounts of water
are lost. Ground movement is just one cause of cracking in a concrete
tank. The water tank can also crack from thermal expansion and
contraction due to large temperature changes or from quick loading, eg
10,000 litres of water is 10 ton!
Generally a crack will form at the weakest point and this will vary in each water tank depending on manufacture, design, location etc. This means it can be hard to predict where a crack may occur.
