I CARE COUNSELLING
The founder of iCare Counselling www.icarecounselling.com.au, Bethany Samuel (dip.prof.couns) knows just how important it is to have a counsellor who does not judge, take sides or make assumptions. As a teenager, she sought help from many different avenues, none who quite understood what she needed, and all of whom left her feeling alone. She was overweight, smoking and finding it hard to cope. After struggling through most of her younger years, she realized her calling and became a qualified counsellor in 2011 completing advanced study majors in abuse, relationship and family therapy. She also unlocked the keys to her weight gain, quit smoking and lost 30 kilos over a two year period which inspired her to become a certified gym instructor, obtaining her certificate 3 in Fitness in October 2012.
Bethany has worked with the Limelight Foundation (www.limelight.org.au) raising funds to help those with depression and anxiety, and has provided email counselling support to those in need.
She specialises in relationship, marriage/ pre-marriage counselling, weight loss counselling and troubled teens. Family therapy also comes under this heading, with many mixed families seeking help with different family dynamics and life changes.
