Socks for every occasion | Pussyfoot Socks
Pussyfoot socks began in 1982 as a concept from the Ginter family in Brunswick, Melbourne who had been producing socks since 1932 for the Australian market.
The brand was built based on the ideals of producing the highest possible quality socks, an ideal we proudly continue today.
Pussyfoot socks are made using the highest quality yarns we can source. We use mercerised cotton in our classic fine gauge socks, which is far stronger and more comfortable than normal combed cotton giving them a luxurious look and feel. Our wool yarn is sourced from Australian merino – grown locally in the Geelong districts to the high levels that we all understand is synonymous with Australian wool.
The majority of our socks are seamed at the toe using the traditional hand-linking method providing the very smoothest and most comfortable seam available – no annoying rubbing from the bulky toe seams that most brands use these days.
Pussyfoot was first introduced into David Jones stores across Australia in 1982 as a simple cotton range and a traditional wool rib style that we still produce today – classics never die!
Technology moves forward at a rapid rate and being a brand that embraces both past and present Pussyfoot has introduced many new fibres and styles to our working ranges – The new wonder fibre Bamboo is now a key product in our mix providing a luxurious hand feel and quite unique warmth and moisture absorbent qualities that are simply stunning and must be experienced to fully understand.
At Pussyfoot Form is integral with function so you can always be assured that when it looks great it also works exceptionally well. Our quality is a product of generations of working with yarn and socks machinery to achieve the best possible result and pricing is always secondary In our manufacturing practices.
Pussyfoot continues to be the leading brand in Mens socks in David Jones and our commitment is to keep providing the very best quality and style socks available through seasonal injection as well as continued classics.
