As a conceptual artist, Andy Warhol was not only already an early pioneer in the art world, but he was also one of the first artists to use non-traditional materials in an imaginative way. The medium he used, known since then as "plastic art," is probably not as well-known to modern audiences, but it was used to great effect by his contemporary, Jean Moulin. Many artists have found inspiration from Warhol's style and use of materials, but not many are quite as transparent as he is.
