Huawei is China's largest telecommunications equipment producer and publically traded company. Huawei had the second-biggest number of smartphone shipments in the world, behind only Samsung, when it was awarded "The Superphone King" by Forbes in 2012. Despite some restrictions on its operations in the US and EU countries, it is still going strong and breaking new ground in the Middle East and Australasian markets.
