Have the condo inspected...before buying

The cost of having a condo inspected is well worth the peace of mind. Often, a condo owner will pay for said inspection anyway. The condo owner with no leakage is likely to gladly pay for an inspection if it means a potential sale. Do not even think of making a purchase without this inspection, as you are setting yourself up for disappointment if you do. Leaky condos do not generally stand up to the watchful eye of an independent inspector. Do not use the condo owner's inspector due to conflict of interest.

Buying a leaky condo is not something that is very common, but it happens more often than you might think. A leaky condo means continuous repairs and structural damage if you do not drop the money to fix it early. The smallest little leak can cause millions in damage if left unchecked. This is something that you have to take seriously if you are wanting to make any profit at all. Buying a leaking condo is next to impossible if you follow the tips listed above. It is rather easy if you do not. Which way makes more sense to you?
