For so long I tried to make the best of things. I worked on the relationship and myself and I would get to the point of feeling ok for a short time. In the end all my efforts just led me to feeling more trapped and less like myself. I tried talking to friends, couple’s counselling, distracting myself and even minimising my own experience, none of it worked.
