How to Reset BigPond Mail on Mobile?
If your BigPond Mail on your mobile device appears to have
problems like syncing issues or outdated changes, resetting could help. Start
by erasing the existing BigPond account from your email application. This
instruction applies to almost all mobile devices: go to the “Settings” menu,
click “Accounts” or “Mail,” find your BigPond account. Select this account and
click the “Remove” or “Delete Account” option. It’s important to note that the
removal will not eliminate your emails from the server but will remove the
account from your phone.
Then, re-add your BigPond account to your email application.
Start the email application, go to the account page, and click the “Add
Account” button. Enter your complete BigPond email address along with its
password. Choose the IMAP configuration if you need to have your emails
accessible on several devices. The incoming server is imap.telstra.com with
port 993, and SSL should be enabled. For the outgoing mail (SMTP) server, use
smtp.telstra.com with port 465 or 587, with SSL active for both. Finish the setup
by saving the account settings. The email address will now begin to sync, and
previous issues should be resolved.
