Dr. Jill Orford MBBS, Ph.D., and Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS - Paediatric Surgery) Dr. Jill Orford is an experienced paediatric surgeon based in Perth and serving patients all over Western Australia and beyond. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Western Australia in 1985. After her graduation, she trained at some of the prestigious hospitals in Fremantle, Nedlands, Perth, and Stirling, including Fremantle Hospital, Kaleeya Hospital, Hollywood Private Hospital, Osborne Park Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Shenton Park Rehabilitation Hospital, and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. She also trained at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, United Kingdom. Dr. Jill Orford specialised in paediatric surgery at the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth and Westmead Children's Hospital in New South Wales. She was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 1997 after her training. Apart from serving as a practising paediatric surgeon, Dr. Orford also obtained a Ph.D. in 2005 at the University of Sydney for her research on embryology, teratology, and birth defects. She has also tutored, mentored, and supervised medical students and surgical trainees over the years. Dr. Orford is committed to providing excellent, up-to-date, and evidence-based healthcare to paediatric patients in Western Australia.
