Skills and Experience: My experience has been and still is in all aspects of both re-paints of existing homes and new homes. I have experience in interior and exterior paint duties and produce quality work. During the last 20 years I have also worked extensively in new build construction. In addition, I have continued to re-paint existing homes in Ipswich, Brisbane and at the Gold Coast. I am continuously working and have worked without accidents. I can provide written references and customer feedback.
Education & Training: After completing technical college in the Netherlands I completed my advanced apprenticeship (a total of 7 years in the Netherlands) with a qualified and highly respected Painting Business. I worked successfully for many years completing all aspects of painting, decorating and glass setting I am known to be able to undertake the most complex jobs.
I have received on-going professional training and experience in both the Netherlands and Australia. My work experience until 1981 was in the Netherlands. After arriving in Australia in 1981, I worked as an employee in the painting industry for about one year in order to learn specific local skills. Since then I have worked as Owner/Operator of Du Prie Painting Service in Australia.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
I have completed the Nationally Accredited module BCGPD3011B Treat Lead Paint Hazards and am on the register of Lead Certified Painting Contractors managed by MPA Queensland.
I have completed in 2002 a Management Skills Course & an Estimating Course through MPA as part of obtaining the BSA license.
I am also qualified and have advanced experience in complex wall papering/decorating work & glass setting and repairs.
