Mini Maestros music classes are for ages 6 months to 5 years. The Australian educational music program has been developed by early music education experts and has been running for 27 years. The stimulating classes actively involve children in singing, movement activities, playing percussion instruments, dances and dramatic play activities. Our trained teachers create a nurturing, inclusive environment that encourages working, playing and having fun together.

The benefits of this structured, sequential program go far beyond learning about the elements of music. It helps development in other areas such as cognitive and motor skills, speech and vocabulary, and language, listening and social skills. Children also learn about sharing and working with others, which is valuable preparation for kinder and school. Our richly diverse classes are underpinned by the concept of 'learning through play' and help instill a lifelong appreciation for music in every child.

Our 6-15 month & 1-2 year old classes help parents and carers share a love of music with their child. Our interactive classes will help give you confidence to fulfill this role.

Our 2-3 year old classes focus on developing children's listening and social skills. Fundamental musical elements - beat, tempo, pitch and dynamics are introduced in a fun and stimulating context.

In our 3-4 year old classes children become more aware of the skills they are learning and begin to identify different musical concepts. They practise new skills, such as left-to-right reading, and are introduced to music reading via picture symbols.

In our 4-5 year old classes children apply their musical skills to their first tuned instrument, the chime bars. They learn simple notation and practise basic sight-singing techniques. Children are provided with opportunities to boost their confidence through performance activities.
