Macquarie Medical Imaging

Received really bad service at the Macquarie Shopping Centre Imaging branch. The sonographer spoke to me the entire time in a rude bullish manner and proceeded to lecture me because I had gone to do early pregnancy scans twice in 3 weeks, which I was asked to do by my specialists. Despite knowing that I was bleeding and had miscarriages prior he would not stop complaining about having to do this scan as he apparently wouldn't be able to claim this at medicare! Why on earth did they take my booking then?! He then kept refusing to do an internal despite not being able to clearly see things on an external scan because he knew that my doctor had made me scan the week prior. When I out of concern asked him what size sac he was seeing he retorted "are you a doctor?" Seriously what was this behaviour? He also wouldn't let my husband be present when he agreed to do an internal as a chaperone. Instead he went and got a receptionist to come in - let me tell no other scan providers including the University Hospital one does this. From snide remarks like my specialist must not be concerned about me because he was going to see me 6 days later and not immediately to making me feel ike an idiot, he made an already terrible experience of miscarriage worse. Oh and he also asked me if I would like to insert the probe myself. Who on earth does that? So many places in Sydney I have been scanned, not once was I asked if I was going to use the probe myself while lying down!
