Flame
retardant mechanism of magnesium hydroxide flame retardant, Magnesium hydroxide
flame retardant is a new type of filler flame retardant. It can reduce the
surface temperature of the synthetic material it fills in the flame by
releasing binding water and absorbing a large amount of latent heat when it is
decomposed by heat. It has the function of inhibiting polymer decomposition and
cooling the combustible gas produced.
Magnesium
hydroxide decomposes when heated (340-490 degrees) to absorb heat from the
surface of the combustion to flame retardant effect; At the same time, a large
amount of water is released to dilute the oxygen on the surface of the burning
material, and the active magnesium oxide generated by decomposition adheres to
the surface of the combustible material and further prevents the combustion.
In
the whole process of flame retardant type magnesium hydroxide is not only did
not produce any harmful substances, and its decomposition product in flame
retardant also absorbed much from the burning of rubber, plastic and other
polymer harmful gas and smoke, active magnesium oxide unceasingly absorbs the
incomplete combustion melting residues, from that quickly stop burning
eliminate smoke and prevent drop at the same time, is a new kind of
environmentally friendly inorganic flame retardants.
