Payment Bank License - Corpbiz

Under the Banking Regulation Act of 1949, Payment Bank License is mandatory to obtain. The RBI envisions a new type of financial institution known as a payment bank. These financial institutions are permitted to accept deposits of up to Rs 100,000 per customer. These financial organisations are not permitted to issue credit cards or make loans. However, they may issue debit or ATM cards and offer mobile banking.
