Melbourne Pool Safety
We know pool barriers and the standards - back to front. We’re here to help you find the best path to your Certificate of Compliance, the one that suits your budget, timeline and taste. In 2019 the Victorian government changed the rules, requiring everyone with a pool or spa to submit proof of the compliance of their pool barrier every four years at least. Failure to do so means an unsafe barrier and all the risks and concerns that go with that. But it also means fines and potentially, barrier improvement notices, temporary fencing orders, and the like. Compliance is the answer. Pool barriers are complex. They’re not just pool fences. They can be made of almost any material: steel, glass, fibreglass, aluminium, bricks, mesh, chainlink or even tea tree! Depending on when they were built, they could include the side of your house, the paling fence between you and your neighbour, a retaining wall, or even a pond or a water feature.
