Could not recommend OWNIT homes to build your Dream house they are rubbish. Contact signed 13 th November 2021, hand over 26 June 2023. They do not inform clients what is going on with the building, they put your slab down quickly and take your money for that $120000,then they don’t come back for 52 days, and then they add that time to your contract by saying we are unable to get tradesmen. By before we signed the contract they said we have our own tradesmen and wouldn’t affect your build. Rubbish. Our original build contract was 175 days, then cover hit then we got an email from OWNIT homes to say that HIA has increased all home building contracts have been increased to 300days, then one Month Later, OWNIT homes sent us a a new HIA increase to our build to twelve months from the time the slab is built. So from November 13 th 2021 nothing was done until Mid May 2022. Their rep told us they have their own certifiers so should not be any delays with the council. Some up poor quality, poor workmanship,still not fixed , rendering very poor. We paid $7000 plus for a wooden Staircase, very poor finish half stained half clear varnished about four different colours and nail holes not filled I have many videos to prove my complaint and can prove everything I have said.

I went with them despite my friends advise not to. Very unhappy with their modus operandi, no professionalism at all, Very sweat and friendly before the deposits. lots of lies and promises that were never full filled after the deposits. Once you have paid the initial deposit, they make you to wait and wait until you get frustrated and desperate, I waited for many months before decided to pull out. I lost my deposit money and could not build with them. When asked to refund the deposit, less soil test and survey cost, all the wrong reasons were given not to refund despite the reasons of pulling out were related to their sales staff and draftsman and I did not even sign the contract yet. I would not recommend this builder to any one. Please don't agree to pay big initial deposit if asked to, for soil test, plans and survey (would only cost $1100-1200, silly I paid heaps more as was asked to and lost most of the money), you will not be refunded at all if you are not happy proceed with this dodgy operators. I have put complain to the concern authority as well regarding their unprofessional modus operandi. Not happy at all!
