Dugong Beach Resort
Dugong Beach Resort is a 25 hectare resort located in the Gulf of Carpentaria on the coast line of Groote Eylandt. It comprises six Executive bungalows, 20 Deluxe Bungalows and 34 Business Suites. 12 permanent deluxe tents form part of the fishing village, and a large restaurant and bar area boasts outdoor decking and a jetty.

Visitors to Dugong Beach Resort can enjoy local cultural tours, as well as use of the Alyangula Recreational Club, which features golf, gymnasium Groote Eylandt Game and Fishing Club, Tennis Association, Squash Club, Swimming Pool, Basketball courts. There are also a gun club, book club, dance club, outdoor cinema and Touch and Rugby Football associations.
Fishing enthusiasts will find a variety of species in local waters, including the famously elusive barramundi.
Dugong Beach Resort is in the country of the Anindilyakwa speaking people. The resort works with the local people to create a range of tours that complement the Groote Eylandt experience. Local artists exhibit and sell their work through the Resort’s Cultural Centre.
