I don’t typically write reviews but ladies, this is an absolute HORROR story!
This Simon Bull character is quite possibly the most untalented and useless excuse for a so called ‘make-up artist’.
I had Simon for my formal and I’ve been somewhat reluctant to send in a review, however, I feel obligated to save anyone of you thinking about making an appointment with this abominable MUA.
Now to the details, having seen the social media pages that Simon has, I was intrigued and excited to have something along those lines completed on myself. Ladies, it’s all a lie. He is nothing like his social media images, I was cat fished like I assume many others before me have been.
To start with, I asked for neutrals, yet Simon decides to pull out a palette of blue shades. Confused I addressed my preference for neutrals and was told and I quote, “I only work with classics, honey”. Reiterating that I didn’t want a blue eyeshadow I was objected with “unfortunately, that’s the only one I bought” – RED FLAG, I KNOW. Yet I still went along with it.
I decided a darker foundation shade would add some definition to the eye area so I asked, and this time Simon complied, thankfully. Closing my eyes nervously, I was told to relax and that I would ‘love’ it. Hoping for the best, I did as asked. … “It’s all complete, honey.” …
It was HORRENDOUS!!
Stating I was upset about it, Simon looked in disbelief, thinking that I would love it. Well NOOO Simon, it was terrible. Time for a reality check buddy !!
Short end of it, nothing worked. In the end I looked like the bloody clown from the 1980s movie IT. I had to go home take it all off and rush to get my face looking somewhat decent before my formal partner arrived. Truly and utterly a waste.
Simon, simply put, being a make-up artist is not for you, you definitely need to find a new career path with a little less time on your hands.
